The sales tax component @ 27 % has nullified the happy hour discount I had got . So in effect I did not get the happy hour discount amount I was supposed to get . Sales Tax is not supposed to be passed on to the end consumer’s sale invoice at the first place . And even if it is, it should be accrued on the beverage’s base invoice value after deduction of the happy hour discount . I really did not understand how it was done . Such happy hour discount offers lure consumers into getting mislead. They are meaningless . Further the beverage invoice and the food invoice should be separate . They have clubbed them together .
