Kap Computer Solutions Pvt. LTd – based in Bengaluru, Karnataka is a bulk SMS service provider.
We, International School Of Success being a Mumbai based company; and offering Business Training Services delivered only in Mumbai desired to send out SMS messages to prospects and target markets in Mumbai. To this end, we contracted with Kap Computer Solutions Pvt Ltd(Kap System) to send out such SMS to a list of 76000 numbers in their Mumbai database.
Kaps assured us that these were people residing in Mumbai and were employed. We paid a lump sum of 10,263 via credit card to Kaps towards sending out SMS to such people residing in Mumbai.
Kaps send out an intial batch of 38000 SMS, and we found that of the 9 people who called us, 7 were from out of Mumbai. As the rest of the people realized that the service was not being offered in their home city, they just ignored the SMS.
This meant Kaps system had solicited our business by making an incorrect statement – that their Mumbai database contained only numbers from Mumbai.
As of now, Kaps refuses to not only pay us back the money they wasted on such useless database, they also refuse to pay us money that was unused and lying with Kaps.
