Goibibo.com – Goibibo Fraud over rescheduling of my flight due to flood in chennai

Dear Sir,

I was charged for rescheduling my Emirates flight which is actually free of cost. i have proof of payment receipted to Goibibo.

Booking PNR Number :KV2NNS, LS37SW

Due to flood in chennai Airports operations were stopped, i wasn’t able fly as my depatured date was Dec 7-2015.

When i try to connect Goibibo over phone no responce stating extremely high call flow on account of flood in chennai please contact us after 48 hours.

so i made a call directly to Emirates customer care and enquiry about the issue, they told me not to worry as they wont charge any extra money from the passenges for those who are all rescheduling within 7 days, post to 7 days we will charge. They also mention that i can fly from two different sector if required Banglore and Hyedrabad without paying any extra chagres.

I immedately request for rescheduling from Goibibo website, as per request i received a call from Goibibo team later 5 hours. I ask them to change me the sector as i have to fly earlier because my visa going to expired soon.

They told me i need to give addional fare (fare difference only) as they were not charging Emirates cancellation charges only they fare difference you has to pay as well as Goibibo charge 500 Rs.

As i was in hurry due to expiration of my visa, i ask them to check for fare difference from Banglore they told me additional of 50000 Rs fare difference is there, i was not in the situation to pay that much amount. I request check from chennai itself they only Dec 11 flight available which is about least fare of 3500 additonal you have to pay. i dont have any other go so i immediately request them to reschedule. i paid 3500 Addionally on 6-Dec-2015 later on i received the confirmed ticket from Goibibo.

As soon i receive, i have applied for Okay to board at Emirates website on 7-Dec-2015 (01:00 AM). i also received acknowledge copy from emirates over mail.

As i didn’t recieve the update information about okay to board from emirates, i made a call to emirates customer care on Dec 8 (12:50 AM)and enquire regards to the okay to board they told me it will updated by end of the day today.

I also ask general question regarding additional fare , they clearly told me that they don’t charge any extra for rescheduling even the fare difference, you have to check with your travel agent as we have we have circulated to all travel agents regards to as we do not charge extra for anything from the passenger whose flight was cancelled due to flood in chennai for those who scheduling within next 7 days.

Now my question is why and how goibibo charged me extra payment of Rs 3500 Rs and for my co-passenger (my cousin) 3673 Rs, for rescheduling within the time limit which is framed by emirates (Dec 7 reschedule to Dec 11, only 4 days difference).

How do i get back my payment, whom to contact for refund of my payment and where do i lodge a complaint against travel agent Goibibo.
