Bridgestone Tyres – Warranty Service Denied on False Basis

Hi,

I have a Hyundai Fluidic Verna,
which is just about 15 months old and has clocked ~ 23K.

This car was delivered with
Bridgestone tyres.

About 2 months back, 2 of the 4
tires started showing signs of protruding walls.

Per the advice of the tire
service company (Tyre Dynamics in Noida) where I had been going for wheel
alignment, etc. of my car, I contacted your company POC to check the tires.

He did visit and check the
tires – but ultimately wrote-off my request, stating that “the car had been
driven with low air pressure in the tire and must have hit something hard,
which caused the belts/ side walls to crack”

Although not an engineer myself
(!), I do understand the logic behind what he explained, but this does lead me
to further questions which I would want an answer to:

Why would anybody drive with low air pressure in tires – would
you do that??

Why would anybody drive over “something hard” – aren’t your
tires made to withstand small debri on the road? I am not even sure what your
engineer meant by something hard!

Even if the above 2 were correct – why doesn’t similar tire
damage show in the other 2 tires – which coincidentally happen to be the front
tires! All tires must have been “misused” if above was the case

After many emails and follow-ups, i received the survey report for the tyre.
As per the company documentation, the swelling of the tyre’s sidewall is caused due to a severe impact on the wheel, which does leave some impact marks even on the outside of the tyre.

Although my car’s two tyre’s have swelling on the sidewall, there is no impact sign on the outside, which leads me to believe that the swelling is more due to a manufacturing defect. The company is not ready to listen to me and has simply denied warranty service even after their own documentation proves that the tyre’s have not been misused.

I request you to please help with the above. Thank you.

Regards,
Nityanand
