“🚨 Scam Alert! 🚨
I recently fell victim to a scam on OLX and I want to share my experience to prevent others from going through the same ordeal. I responded to an ad posted by a user Amar Talwar(https://www.facebook.com/amartalwar04/), who runs a small gaming channel on YT(https://www.youtube.com/@AmrTlwr). Verified everything on video call .
Long story short, I ended up losing 10k to this scammer yesterday.
This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in online marketplaces like OLX. Despite exercising caution, I was duped, and I don’t want anyone else to go through the same.
Takeaway: NEVER buy anything on OLX without thoroughly vetting the seller. I would say to stay away from OLX if it’s not aF2F deal. Let’s stay vigilant and protect ourselves from falling prey to scams like this one.
