Theresa Oakley at the University of Worcester is alleged to have plagiarised her PhD thesis, lifting entire passages and chapters from others.
This scandal of academic integrity, was brought to light after Plagiarism Today tested the work of academics at UK universities (including Oakley’s) and fought significant overlap with other sources.
Oakley has also incorrectly attributed sources and at times committed complete fabrication of sources, this misquotation of sources is of course a form of plagiarism in its own right.
This scandal calls the position of Oakley into question.
