Sir/Madam,
I lived in a house in Madhavaram, Chennai, for 4 years for a rent of 4000/- a month and paid an advance of 25000/- for almost a 350 sq ft single bedroom house. While vacating the house, the owner says he will deduct almost Rs. 10000/- for whitewash and give the balance only. Does the law says to recover the whitewash amount from the tenant?
